    HydroChute at ASCP UK 2025

We were proud to exhibit at this year’s ASCP UK Conference, Exhibition and Awards, held at the iconic Celtic Manor Resort in Newport on 14th–15th May 2025. The annual event brought together building safety professionals from across the UK to share knowledge, explore innovations, and tackle the ongoing challenges within the social housing and facilities management sectors.

Our team – including Charles White, Riley Smith, and Andrew Farrant – were on hand at Stand E5 to answer questions, showcase our solutions, and connect with peers from across the industry. With decades of combined expertise, they had plenty of insights to share on best practice in refuse chute design, fire safety, and ongoing maintenance.

HydroChute was also delighted to sponsor this year’s Customer Service Award, presented during the glamorous ASCP Awards ceremony on the final evening. Congratulations to Aico, the well-deserved winners of this coveted accolade!

Events like ASCP UK are a valuable opportunity to engage directly with those responsible for ensuring safety and compliance in high-rise residential buildings – a mission that aligns closely with our own. Whether the conversation was about “rubbish” (our favourite topic!) or the future of fire-safe infrastructure, we were thrilled to be part of such a focused and forward-thinking event.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the stand – and to ASCP Events for hosting another fantastic conference. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

  • HydroChute at the Fire Safety Event 2025: That’s a Wrap!

HydroChute at the Fire Safety Event 2025: That’s a Wrap!

Charles from HydroChute at the Fire Safety EventFrom 8th to 11th April, the NEC Birmingham played host to the Fire Safety Event 2025 – the UK’s leading showcase dedicated to improving fire safety standards across commercial and residential buildings. We were proud to be part of it, exhibiting on stand L/80 alongside over 200 industry-leading suppliers and thousands of fire safety professionals.

This year, our team – Riley Smith, Charles White and Andrew Farrant – were on hand to talk all things fire safety in refuse chutes. We showcased some of our most innovative products, including our brand new Waste Streamer, which is designed to easily separate waste within refuse chutes, helping to reduce contamination and improve safety. Visitors also had the chance to get hands-on with our robust chute doors and fire closure plates, which continue to be a popular choice for contractors and housing associations alike.

Beyond the products, there were plenty of valuable conversations around key issues such as The Golden Thread, Contractor Competency, and why fire safety in refuse chutes should never be an afterthought in high-rise building management.

A special thanks goes to Quantum Exhibitions, who once again did a fantastic job with our stand. It looked great and gave us the perfect platform to meet new faces, reconnect with clients from the social housing sector, and learn more about developments across the wider fire safety industry.

As Andrew put it in our event wrap-up video:

“It’s been a great show… we’ve really enjoyed being here. We’ve met lots of new people, and of course, some of our clients from the social housing sector have been to see us as well, so it’s been lovely to catch up with them. And of course, we’ll be back here next year.”

If you didn’t get a chance to stop by the stand, don’t worry – you can reach out to our Commercial Manager, Riley Smith, directly on LinkedIn or drop us an email at info@hydrochute.co.uk.

    Until next year!
